Sales slow in Austria

The Austrian office furniture industry is expected to register a slight increase in turnover to $308.1 million for 2005, from $306.8 million in 2004, according to a study released by Austrian consultancy Kreutzer, Fischer and Partner.

The industry has been registering slowing sales since 2000, thanks to weakening demand and pricing pressure. The consultants warned that western European consumer markets would continue to be tough.
