29 August 2006 — London (UK): Royal Mail is encouraging small businesses who use postage meters to take advantage of a £30 million ($57 million) discount by resetting their meters, following last week’s introduction of a new pricing system.
Under the new system, the price of a first class post has been reduced by one pence to 30p and the weight limit has been increased from 60g to 100g in recognition of business mail costing Royal Mail less to handle.
