Reorganisation hits Newell profits


26 January 2006 – Freeport (IL): Q4 profit at Newell Rubbermaid fell 38 per cent as the company reorganises to boost sales.

Net income declined to $77 million, or EPS of $0.28, from $124.1 million, or EPS of $0.44, a year ago.


Revenue rose 1 per cent to $1.75 billion from $1.73 billion last year.


For the full year, the company reported a net income of $251.3 million, against a loss of $116.1 million. Revenue fell 2 per cent to $6.34 billion from $6.48 billion.
