Around 90 leading members of the OP industry have gathered in Berlin for the OPI 2017 European Forum.
Last night, delegates met for relaxed dinner and drinks before today’s full schedule of presentations and roundtables, moderated by EO Group CEO Simon Drakeford.
The Forum kicked off with an eye-opening keynote on the rapidly evolving work environment from Jeanette Huber, Associate Director of Zukunftsinstitut, one of the most influential think tanks in European trend research. She touched upon an ageing workforce and a world where robots hold most of the jobs.
This was followed by a lively panel debate on the challenges and changes in supply chain.
Other sessions included a look at content marketing and the relationship between search and brand, employee wellbeing as well as an in-depth look at stress-testing from a former marine.
OPI CEO Steve Hilleard chatted to Lyreco CEO Hervé Milcent for the Big Interview.
This afternoon’s roundtable sessions involved subjects that are making a significant impact on the business supplies industry including Amazon, Brexit, and the Internet of Things.
Tomorrow’s keynotes include a talk by Brother UK Managing Director Phil Jones, a presentation on blockchain and an update from SOFEA. Friday morning will also feature a panel discussion on mergers and acquisitions, capped off by an interactive discussion.
