Climb of Life smashes it again

The Climb of Life (COL) has once again broken its own fundraising record.

The Climb of Life (COL) has once again broken its own fundraising record.

Tackling the challenging mountains of the Lake District last week, a group from OPI joined more than 100 members from across the UK office products industry to raise funds for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).

This year’s total is expected to be in excess of £104,000 ($134,000), beating last year’s figure of £103,000, with OPI once again the top fundraising team, contributing £20,000 towards the total.

Commenting on another successful campaign, OPI CEO Steve Hilleard said: “This was yet another tremendous industry effort to raise funds for the ICR and its discoveries that defeat cancer. Congratulations to all who were involved.”

The 2019 campaign theme was ‘Two million steps forward in the fight against cancer’, and this ambition was well and truly surpassed as COL participants collectively trekked an enormous 2,760,008 steps for the climb.

Well done to all those who took part in the 2019 COL, and a big thank you to everyone who supported this year’s fundraising efforts.

Next year’s COL is scheduled for 6 November 2020.
