The BOSS Business Supplies Charity has highlighted the “amazing” end to the year it is having.

At last week’s BOSS Awards event, the charity raised £6,500 ($7,800) via an auction and raffle, an amount that was described as “sparkling”. Around 40% of the money that the charity donates every year comes from fundraising efforts such as these.

So far this year, the BOSS Charity has provided one-off and quarterly support payments of over £75,000, helping more than 40 current and former industry colleagues in need in the process.

The charity’s Chair, Martin Wilde, commented: “We are so grateful to our wonderful industry for its faithful support for its charity. All of the money we raise goes to help our beneficiaries and to cover our very limited costs, so without the valued help of the BOSS Federation, our prize donors and the very many auction bidders and raffle ticket purchasers, we would be unable to provide this much-needed financial support. With the cost of living increasing rapidly, we are only going to be supporting even more families in need in 2023, so, thanks to these funds, we are in a strong position to face the coming year.”
