OPI is saddened to report that Lupe ‘Champ’ Fraga, founder of Texas dealer Tejas Office Products, has passed away at the age of 86.

With the help of his then girlfriend Irene (who later became his wife), Lupe purchased an office products business in Houston (TX) in 1962 when he was just 26. In 1982, the company was renamed to Tejas Office Products and has been a leading independent supplier in the Houston market ever since, winning numerous small business and customer awards.

In 2004, the company was taken over by Lupe and Irene’s three children, Michele, Alisa and Stephen, and they all still work at the dealership today, with Stephen occupying the role of President.

A service for Lupe will take place on 22 December at the St Michael the Archangel catholic church in Houston. This will be followed by a reception. More details can be found here.

OPI extends its deepest sympathies to Irene, Michele, Alisa and Stephen, as well as the whole of the Fraga family.
