A celebration of the life of Staples founder Tom Stemberg will take place on Friday 20 November in Boston, Massachusetts.
Stemberg passed away at the end of October at the age of 66, and his wife Katherine has announced that his life will be celebrated as per the entrepreneur’s final wishes.
The celebration will take place on the morning of Friday 20 November at Boston College’s Fonte Forum – exact times and further details will be announced shortly.
As Stemberg stated in his wishes:
"This is my only opportunity to say thank you to the thousands of individuals who have made my life’s journey possible. From my fellow workers at Star Market and Edwards-Finast, to the associates who helped build Staples into the powerhouse that it has become; to my colleagues at Highland, and to the courageous entrepreneurs who built our portfolio companies I say: Thank you for letting me live the American Dream!”
