Staples has added an interactive store map feature to its iPhone app, designed to help retail customers find products more quickly. The feature – which runs on Point Inside’s Store Mode platform – is being tested in 83 Staples stores in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and the Seattle area. Staples added that it will also be launching other mobile app features.

HP has announced new solutions for mobile printing and managed print services. These include HP JetAdvantage Connect software for corporate printing from mobile devices (Android only for the time being), enhanced security features for mobile printing and new business intelligence tools for HP Managed Print Services customers.

Stationery manufacturer BIC is stepping up investments in India following last year’s finalisation of the Cello Pens acquisition. Projects include building a new factory that will be used as a manufacturing hub for other Asian markets.

Aftermarket laser cartridge maker Turbon and print fleet software provider Nubeprint have entered into a distribution agreement in Asia. Under the agreement, Turbon will market Nubeprint’s cloud-based software solution for print fleet management to its customer base in more than 20 Asian countries.

European supplies reseller Manutan has added more colour to its H1 sales results it reported in April. Adjusted operating profit for the period was up 3.5% to €17.5 million, although adjusted operating margin fell 20 basis points to 5.4% of sales. This margin decline was attributed to the seasonal nature of the Papeteries Pichon educational supplies business acquired last year.

Marley Coffee has issued a letter to shareholders ahead of its first quarter results. It reveals Q1 sales growth of around 13% year on year to $3.1 million due to the US grocery channel, although the quarterly net loss was unchanged at $1.2 million. The company also outlined plans to grow in different channels, but didn’t specify the office coffee market.
