OPI is shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of S.P. Richards (SPR) executive and business products industry veteran Mark Pelletier.
Mark, who was 65, passed away on 24 April, surrounded by his family.
It was only two weeks ago that Mark posted on LinkedIn how excited he was on reaching his two-year anniversary at SPR, saying he still had “lots of unfinished business” on his plate.
He was Director of Sales for the independent dealer channel in the jan/san category at the wholesaler, having previously spent more than 21 years at Essendant/United Stationers in a number of senior sales and marketing roles.
On LinkedIn, SPR’s SVP of Sales, Jan/San and New Business Development, Nick Lomax – who Mark reported to – wrote: “Anyone who crossed paths with this man was better for it. I know I was. I am honoured to have been his friend and teammate. His faith was strong, his kindness was available to all. Most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandpa. An example for all. Rest easy my friend.”
SPR EVP Jack Reagan called Mark a “kind and talented man”, adding: “[He] had the unique personality to always stay calm, but was always looking out for all – customers, teammates, friends and, of course, family. SPR is very saddened this week to lose a friend.”
A funeral service for Mark will be held at 2 pm next Monday, 1 May, at the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home, 4121 Falcon Parkway, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Sunday 30 April at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to City of Hope.
OPI extends its deepest sympathies to Mark’s wife, Lorrie, and all his family, friends and colleagues.
