After yesterday’s news about the death of Jim Gaede, OPI is saddened to learn that his long-time business partner John Frey Sr has also passed away.
John joined the rep group started by his father, Art Frey, in 1962, when the business covered five states in the US Midwest. Working with Jim Gaede, John was instrumental in expanding the company – renamed Frey Gaede & Company in the 1970s – to its current 25-state network.
He retired from the business in 2010, but still served as an advisor to the remaining partners, including John Frey Jr and Todd Gaede. He was honoured with the Business Solutions Association’s Leadership Award – in a joint recognition with Jim Gaede – in 2016.
A service will take place on Monday 7 June at St Mary Hyde Park Church, Cincinnati (OH). Online condolences may be expressed at RohdeFuneral.com. Memorials can be made to Springer School or Corryville Catholic Elementary School.
