Reports in the US press have suggested Amazon could buy contract assets that lead to the approval of the Staples-Office Depot acquisition.
An article in the New York Post quoted sources that said Amazon would be interested in acquiring Office Depot’s contract unit as well as mega independent dealer WB Mason.
By doing that, the FTC would then approve the Staples acquisition of Depot and everyone would be happy! Well almost everyone…
