Essendant President Harry Dochelli has been confirmed as the City of Hope 2024 Spirit of Life Honouree.
Dochelli has been involved in the office products industry since 1987, when he joined Boise Cascade Office Products. He has been with Essendant (formerly United Stationers) for the past ten years and took over the leadership of the wholesaler in early 2019 following its acquisition by Sycamore Partners.
As Spirit of Life Honouree, he will follow ACCO Brands CEO Boris Elisman, who will be leading the City of Hope fundraising efforts for the National Business Products Industry (NBPI) in 2023. Just last week, the NBPI announced it had raised $16.3 million for City of Hope under the stewardship of Staples’ Peter Scala, the 2022 Spirit of Life Honouree.
