20 January 2004 – Hong Kong (CHN): The fifth Hong Kong International Stationery Fair, which took place last week, saw a record attendance – 29 per cent up from the previous year.

The event, located at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, welcomed 15,856 buyers from 113 countries and regions. Exhibitor numbers were up too, with 265 companies participating – 19 per cent more than in 2004.

Betty Heywood, director of trade fairs for Messe Frankfurt, co-organiser of the fair with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), said: "We are very pleased with the enthusiastic response the show has had from the global industry. It just goes to prove that Hong Kong really is considered a major sourcing hub for Asian products, and its international stature attracts buyers from all over the world."
