Recession slows Italian OP market growth – MPA

14 December 2005 – London (UK): Research agency MPA International has published its final volume in its two-year cycle of studies into west European markets, with a survey focusing on the Italian OP market.

MPA discovered that in the nine broad product categories (including envelopes, storage and filing and office furniture), the Italian market increased by 2.2 per cent between 2003-2004 to reach €3.8 billion (£2.5 billion) at manufacturer’s selling price – equivalent to €5.2 billion at user buying price.

The modest growth was attributed to the economic recession in the country.

MPA predicts "very limited growth" over the five-year forecast period 2004-2009.
