President of Best Buy for Business named

8 August 2007 — Minneapolis (MN): Best Buy has promoted David Hemler to the newly created position of president of Best Buy for Business.

In his new role, Hemler will lead the development and execution of strategies for delivering technology solutions to business, education and government customers. He will report to Darren Jackson, EVP and CFO.

 

Jackson said: "David’s passion for innovation and the positive impact that technology can deliver for organisations is truly inspiring. His enthusiasm for the potential of technology will be of great benefit as we grow the Best Buy for Business product and service capabilities to deliver simple, reliable and affordable technology solutions."

 

Hemler joined the company in 2006 as VP of sales and operations, overseeing sales strategy and execution of retail and field channels for Best Buy for Business. Prior to joining Best Buy, he spent 11 years at Microsoft, including roles as a regional VP of the small midmarket solutions and partner group and president of Microsoft Canada.
