20 October 2004 – Chicago (IL): Avery Dennison has reported a higher Q3 profit than estimated, but cautioned that it expected demand to slow during Q4.
The company posted a Q3 net profit of $75 million, or EPS of $0.75, compared with $66.5 million, or EPS of $0.67, in the Q3 of 2003.
Revenue increased 11 per cent to $1.34 billion from $1.20 billion last year.
The company said the weakness of the dollar against the euro contributed to about a third of the quarter’s growth.
