9 August 2005 – New York (NY): Pilot Pen will release its most expensive limited edition pen, The Peacock, on 15 September, priced at $12,000.
CEO Ron Shaw said: "The interest in high-end collectible pens has reached an all-time high in the past few years".
Each of the 80 pens has an 18K gold nib.
