Personalised workstations declining

21 August 2006 — Grand Rapids (MI): Steelcase, a manufacturer of office environments, has revealed the results of a three-part workplace index survey by Opinion Research, on the nature of work in 2006.

700 American office workers took part in the survey that found 59 percent of those surveyed personalise their workstations, compared to 85 percent ten years ago.

The main reasons for not personalising workstations were no permanent space, using shared space, lack of space, and not being encouraged to do so by the company.
