Pentel raises £53,000 for breast cancer charity

26 February 2007 — Swindon (UK): Pentel has raised more than £53,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign through the sale of Line Style, a pink-barrelled ballpoint pen, which is now available with pink ink.

For every pen that Pentel sells, it donates £0.20 ($0.39) to the charity.

The company had hoped to raise £25,000 by December, but having already exceeded its target, it now hopes to raise £100,000 by the end of the year.

Marketing manager Wendy Vickery said: "We were so delighted to have exceeded our original target this early on and have been absolutely overwhelmed by the popularity of this product. It’s thanks to our customers that we have been able to achieve this goal. We have now increased our target and aim to raise a massive £100,000 for the charity by the end of December 2007, and we’re confident that with the continued support of our customers and the general public we’ll smash this new target as well."
