Papirius changes name to Office Depot

10 August 2007 — Prague (CHZ): Czech office supplier Papirius has announced it has changed its name to Office Depot, which acquired the company last September.

"The rebranding will apply to all markets Papirius is active in — the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Lithuania," the executive and former co-owner of the firm, Jan Cerny, told Planet Retail.

In addition, Depot also opened its new 10,000m² distribution and logistic centre in Hostivice near Prague, at a cost of around CZK351 million ($16.48 million). The centre will serve customers from the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
