Paperworld 2005: better than ever

1 February 2005 – Frankfurt (GER): Frankfurt became once again a Mecca for the international paper, office supplies and stationery world last week, as 2,722 OP companies from around the world turned up to showcase their products, network with the industry’s cream and strike new deals.

The heaviest-represented company at the trade fair was Germany, with 606 exhibitors, followed by China (with 290 exhibitors), Taiwan (with 240), Italy (with 197), Hong Kong (with 175) and Great Britain (with 120).

As many as 69 countries were represented in total, against 65 in 2004.

Michael Reichhold, director of Paperworld at Messe Frankfurt, said: "It is the international platform at which all important participants of the world market get together to look, be amazed, talk and make decisions. Thus, Paperworld is nowadays more than just an event where orders are placed."
