PaperlinX has announced it will acquire the Canada-based paper merchanting business of Cascades for approximately C$85 million ($71 million), including transaction costs.
Commenting on the deal, CEO Tom Park said: "It builds on our existing Canadian paper merchanting business made up of Coast Paper and Papier
Turgeon, providing the opportunity for significant operating synergies over time, beyond those included in our target expected returns."
