Orion wins government contract

4 July 2007 — Brentford (UK): Orion Media Marketing has secured one of the UK’s largest public sector contracts for electronic office supplies.

The contract, which commences in October and will run for four years, is for the supply of the complete range of electronic office supplies to a number of government agencies, including the MOD.

Orion is believed to have set it apart from the competition in terms of "product knowledge, service expertise and an overall competitive package," according to the company.

Orions’s UK sales director said: "We were very clear of our strategy from the outset and worked very closely with the key supplies vendors. Our track record in working in partnership with our suppliers and our supplies focused product, service offering and prices put us ahead of the field."

He continued: "It was a very demanding tender process but the real hard work starts now. We have an implementation team already working and planning for a seamless go live in October. We are obviously delighted to have won the contract and we’re very confident that we will more than meet the exacting requirements of the contract."
