25 April 2006 – Grapevine (TX): The Office Products Wholesalers Association (OPWA) presented six awards for excellence at the 2006 Office Products Executive Summit at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Texas.
The 2006 Leadership Award, the association’s highest honour, was presented to Ed Melugin of Dallas Pen Company. Sanford Corporation received the 2006 Innovation of the Year Award, Baumgarten’s was selected as the 2006 Manufacturer of the Year in the Office Products Division and the 3M Corporation was the runner-up. In the Writing Instruments Division, Pentel of America was chosen as the 2006 Manufacturer of the Year and Zebra Pen Corporation was the runner-up.
Winners of the annual OPWA awards are voted by the association’s wholesaler members.
