- 3M has appointed Vance Coffman to the new position of lead director. Coffman, a former CEO at defence contractor Lockheed Martin, has been a member of the board at 3M since 2002.
- Former Hewlett-Packard chief Carly Fiorina has agreed to become an independent member of the board at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), subject to shareholder approval. TSMC is the world’s largest contract chip maker by revenue. Fiorina is also on the boards of CyberTrust, Revolution Healthcare Group and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

- Katun Corporation has promoted Christophe Capony as country manager for its French operations. Capony has been a sales manager at Katun France since 2003.
- Spicers has announced a number of changes to its sales team. The wholesaler has appointed Steve Upperton as director of UK sales; Richard Walker as regional sales manager, London; Kelly Wakefield as sales development manager, south-west; and Daniel Edwards as sales development manager for the East Anglia region.
