17 September 2004 – Staines (UK): OfficeStar Europe is teaming up with marketing firm Interact to enter the Italian market in January 2005.
Managing director Martin Eames said: "OfficeStar has a unique marketing based value proposition for independent dealers and with our launch in Italy we will become the first group to operate in three European markets giving us genuine pan-European credentials to compete with the heavily branded power channel players."
The UK and German OfficeStar model will be replicated in Italy with members being granted exclusive geographic trading territories and protected by a commitment that once full geographic market coverage has been achieved no further members will be admitted.
Recruitment of Italian members will begin in October with a formal launch at November’s Big Buyer Fair in Verona.
