9 November 2004 – Itasca (IL): OfficeMax has claimed to be the first OP supplier to sell 100 per cent recycled paper made with wind power.
The paper line, which will be offered to the OP giant’s North American contract business customers from 2005, will be manufactured by Mohawk Paper Mills, the only US mill to make paper with wind energy.
Chris Miliken, OfficeMax division president/CEO said he hopes the new line will better assist businesses in meeting their environmental goals.
He said: "In adding Mohawk color copy recycled paper, we are offering a wider variety of environmentally preferable papers to our contract business customers. We hope this will allow more customers to choose recycled content papers for wider use in their offices."
