28 July 2006 — Itasca (IL): OfficeMax has appointed two new members to its board of directors.
Dorrit Bern will serve on the audit committee and the executive compensation committee. Bern currently serves on the board of directors of Southern Company, one of the largest electric energy producers in the US. She has also served as chairman, president and CEO of women’s apparel clothing, Charming Shoppes, since 1997.
Joseph DePinto will serve on the audit committee alongside Bern, and also on the governance and nominating committee. DePinto has been serving as president and CEO of 7-Eleven since November 2005.
