5 January 2005 – Itasca (IL): OfficeMax has announced the resignation of Gary Peterson, president of the company’s retail division, but claims the decision is unrelated to the company’s current investigation into improper invoicing.
Chris Miliken, OfficeMax’s president/CEO said: "Gary played an instrumental role in the integration of OfficeMax and Boise Office Solutions following the merger of the two companies approximately one year ago, and his leadership will be missed."
The company added that the resignation is with immediate effect and that a search for Peterson’s replacement would start straight away.
OfficeMax released no further details on the resignation.
