Office World has announced it is on course to expand further following a three-channel approach with superstores, catalogue ordering and online shopping.
It also reported the opening of its 18th office supplies superstore in Steinhausen, near Zug.
CEO Matthias Baumann is confident about the future. By opening two new stores per year and through a multi-channel strategy, he is aiming for Switzerland-wide coverage of 30-35 stores by 2010, he says.
"The right way is to allow the customers to decide whether they want to shop in a superstore, order via the internet or make their purchases from a catalogue," he told OPI.
Office World, which boasted revenues of CHF107.4 million ($82.9 million) in the 2004 financial year, is expecting sales to grow by 3 to 4 per cent this year, and by 5 per cent going on to 2008.
