20 December 2005 – Zeeland (MI): Office furniture manufacturers plan to adjust their prices in the US and Canada in early 2006 to offset higher costs for steel, polyurethane and other commodity materials, Purchasing magazine has reported.

Herman Miller, Steelcase and other manufacturers have said that orders remain strong in North America and business is improving elsewhere overseas. However, higher energy and material costs are prompting an anticipated 12 to 15 per cent price increase.
