19 July 2006 – Leicester (UK): Office Depot has won an international safety award from the British Safety Council (BSC).
Chief executive of the BSC, David Ballard, said: "For nearly 50 years we have led the way in promoting health, safety and environmental beast practice in society." He continued: "Through achieving an international safety award, Office Depot is helping to make our vision of a safe working environment a reality."
Office Depot was found to have a commitment to health and safety at the highest board level, with effective policies and plans and below average accident rates.
