23 December 2005 – Palm Beach (FL): Office 1 Superstores International has announced plans to open ten superstores in India in 2006.
Seven of the stores will be company-owned and three will operate as franchises. The India master franchisee, Indo Rama Retail Holdings, is a subsidiary of Indo-Rama Synthetics, one of the country’s largest producer-exporters in the synthetic blended yarn industry.
The first two stores will open in Delhi in March to coincide with the launch of the company’s new e-commerce website dedicated to the region.
Longer term, Office 1 India has outlined a potential for some 900 franchises over the next ten years.
In early February, Office 1 is also scheduled to open its first company-owned store in Shanghai, China.
