8 October 2004 – Venlo (NL): Océ has reported a slight decline in its Q3 sales.
The Netherlands-based company returned a one per cent fall to €645.7 million ($793.2 million), while operating income dipped from €25.7 million to €23.9 million.
Chairman Rokus van Iperen claimed the performance was only a temporary blip. He said: "The growth in sales of new systems in the third quarter lagged behind the trend. Recurring revenues did not develop as anticipated. But this is a postponement rather than a cancellation of investments. In due course the further growth of the population of machines will lead to growing income flows from service."
