Norma Summerville dies at 88

18 May 2005 – Akron (OH): Norma Summerville, co-founder of Summervilles’ Inc in Akron, Ohio, and one of the industry’s true leaders among US dealers, has passed away at the age of 88.

Norma and her husband Scott set up Summervilles’ dealership in 1940 in a room in their home, with an initial investment of just a few hundred dollars. Norma led the company for more than 40 years before handing over the presidency to her son John ‘Skip’ Summerville in 1987.
