Fellowes has appointed Michel van Beek to the newly created position of VP of sales and export. Van Beek, formerly European sales and export director for GBC, takes responsibility for European sales in the UK, France, Germany and the Benelux. SP Richards has appointed Kimberly Gray to the role of director of sales, national accounts. Gray’s responsibilities will include managing several key national accounts and driving joint sales and marketing initiatives. MeadWestvaco has announced that Mark Cross is joining the company as SVP, responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic marketing, business development activities and operations in emerging markets, with specific focus on China and India. Stamford (CT)
International Paper (IP) has named Brain McDonald as VP of investor relations. McDonald joined the company in 1987 and most recently held the role of president of IP Asia. Stamford (CT)
The Highlands Group has named Maria Quinlan as VP of sales. Quinlan was formerly a furniture merchandising manager at BT Office Products and moved on to launch her own business, Q-Eleven, based in Chicago. Atlanta (GA)
MeadWestvaco has appointed Jason Thompson as director of investor relations with responsibility for the management of financial communications with shareholders and securities analysts. Thompson started his new position on 14 June and replaced Mark Pomerleau, who retired from the company after 26 years’ service. Stamford (CT)
Hewlett-Packard has appointed Sam Taylor to the newly created role of SVP of online sales. Taylor was previously SVP of online stores and marketing at Best Buy. Palo Alto (CA)

Fellowes France has named Emmanuel Lombard as the new country manager for its domestic operation. Lombard was previously sales and marketing director at GBC France. Poissy (FRA)
OfficeMax has elected Perry Zukowski as EVP of human resources. Zukowski was previously VP of human resources at General Binding Corporation. Itasca (IL)
Konica Minolta has appointed Michael Duffy as UK channel sales director. Duffy, previously B2B sales director at Philips, will work closely with the UK’s 100 top value-added resellers. Staines (UK)
Tech Data has appointed Nigel Judd to the newly created role of marketing services director for EMEA. Judd was previously general manager at Computer 2000. Munich (GER)
Family-run The Complete Office Solution (COS), has appointed Colin Carpenter to the position of Business Development Manager. He will be responsible for the growth and development of the company after 26 years’ experience in sales, his latest role being seven years at Office Visions. Barry (UK)
Océ has appointed Anton Schaaf to its board of executive directors. Schaaf, who will assume the position of chief technology and operations officer, was previously chief technology officer at Deutsche Telekom. Fellowes has promoted Hajo Hoekstra to country sales and marketing director for Benelux and Germany. Hoekstra, former Benelux sales and marketing director, will take over his Germany responsibilities with immediate effect. Reporting directly to Michel van Beek, VP of sales and export for Fellowes Europe, Hoekstra will be managing the company’s growing customer base in Austria and Switzerland. Garbsen (GER)

Tenza Technologies, a manufacturer of self-adhesive products for the packaging and stationery industry, has named Dave Munro as its head of operations. Munro was previously operations director at Elopak, which manufactures moulded bottles for the dairy industry. Saxmundham (UK)
Esselte UK is strengthening its Xyron brand with the appointment of John Cotterell as national accounts manager in its creative division. Cotterell is well known in the industry, having spent 14 years with Swan Stabilo. He will report to sales director Mike James. Uxbridge (UK)
