New sales SVP at United Stationers


19 October 2004 – Des Plaines (IL): United Stationers has announced that Patrick Collins is to join the company as SVP of sales, a position responsible for the company’s overall sales strategy.

Collins was previously at Ingram Micro (IM) for four years, as senior group VP of sales and marketing for North America, and before that as SVP of sales.

Prior to IM, Collins was at crisp manufacturer FritoLay for 15 years, where he held various managerial positions.

United Stationers’ president and CEO Dick Gochnauer said: "Pat’s extensive knowledge of technology products and his proven ability to increase market share in a highly competitive environment will assist in contributing to our top-line growth strategies, especially since technology-related products currently contribute about 45 per cent of our total sales."
