New fire safety rules for UK offices

25 July 2006 — London (UK): New fire regulations will come in to force on 1 October 2006. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order renders existing fire certificates invalid.
             
The legislation requires risk assessments to be carried out in the workplace and urges employers to be more proactive in preventing fires and protecting staff.
