4 March 2005 – Birmingham (UK): Europa is in discussions with three companies to take over its third-party logistics (3PL) contract, opi.net has discovered.
Companies in talks to take over the contract, which expires at the end of June, include Wincanton (the incumbent), Antalis and another company, which was not named.
National business director at Antalis, John Barnes, told opi.net: "We are looking at ways to take costs out of services and keep prices as competitive as possible for our dealers."
Europa’s board expect to make a decision on the new 3PL provider this month.
