8 May 2006 – Huntersville (NC): Tim Hopper, the new president of the National Art Materials Trade Association (NAMTA,) began his term at NAMTA’s 56th Annual International Convention and Trade Show in Boston last month.
"It is an honour and a privilege to serve as president of the largest fine art materials association in the world," said Hopper. "We have an excellent board in place and look forward to continued growth this year."
Elected to the NAMTA board of directors were Beth Bergman as domestic retailer representative, Kim Fjordbotten as international retailer representative, and Richard Goodban as international supplier representative. Each will serve a three-year term on the NAMTA board.
