6 April 2006 – High Point (NC): Office furniture manufacturer Miller Desk has decided to keep its operations running after previously stating its intention to close.
In a letter to customers, vendors and employees, the company said that since making the announcement to close they have had "overwhelming support" from customers and "positive" meetings with financial advisors, and will continue to produce and ship goods.
The firm originally cited slow business demand and rising cost of materials as reasons for closing.
