Microsoft unveiled its much-hyped Project Origami at CeBIT, the annual technology trade show in Germany.
The product itself is an ultracompact computer which runs Windows XP with a touchscreen and wireless connectivity. Two models from different vendors are expected to be released this spring. Microsoft says they’ll be about an inch thick and weigh less than 2.5 lbs – about the size of a large paperback.
Future editions will support Windows Vista, a version of Microsoft’s flagship operating system due out later this year.
