MeadWestvaco takes care of global strategy


11 May 2007 — Richmond (VA): MeadWestvaco has appointed Bruce Thomas as senior VP of global market strategy and emerging markets.

In this role he will drive the company’s efforts to expand its global footprint and capabilities in emerging markets, with a focus on leading marketing and business development activities with current and new customers in China, India and Eastern Europe.


The company says that he will apply his multi-national marketing experience and expertise to direct current and future strategies for MeadWestvaco, supporting the company in achieving new levels of efficiency and success in emerging markets.


As former president and CEO of global content management and printing company Cadmus Communications Corporation, Thomas grew Cadmus through global expansion efforts and drove the company’s establishment of an integrated manufacturing platform with locations in India, Singapore, China and Honduras.

Thomas will be based at the company’s headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
