10 July 2006 — Stamford (CT): MeadWestvaco has completed the acquisition of Calmar, a global manufacturer of high-quality and innovative plastic dispensing and spraying systems.
Calmar, which has a manufacturing plant at its headquarters in Grandview, Missouri, was purchased from Compagnie de Saint-Gobain for $710 million.
The company’s strong presence in key markets in the US and Europe, as well as emerging markets, complement MeadWestvaco’s global goals in the premium packaging market.
