8 March 2005 – Chicago (IL): 3M chief Jim McNerney has emerged as an early front-runner for the vacant CEO’s position at Boeing.
The US’s largest aircraft maker parted company with former CEO Harry Stonecipher in high-profile fashion yesterday, after it emerged that he was having an affair with an unnamed female executive.
According to Wall Street analysts, 3M’s CEO Jim McNerney, who sits on the Boeing board, is a leading candidate for the job.
