Hopaco stores are to be branded OfficeMax following parent company Boise Cascade’s $3.7 billion sale of its paper, building products and timberland assets.
Hopaco general manager Rudy Mayo told Hawaii’s Pacific Business News that, following completion of the deal, all contract commercial business will be handled under the Hopaco name while all retail sales will be handled under the OfficeMax name.
The office supply firm recently opened a 78,000 sq ft distribution centre in Waipahu and closed two distributions centres and retails stores.
