Lidl to launch non-food store

 

24 November 2006 — Berlin (GER): Schwarz Group-owned discount operator Lidl is to launch a virtual store for non-food items over the Christmas period.

 

The German retailer plans to highlight between 30 and 50 items from its constantly rotating non-food special offers. Each item will only be available for two weeks, following its philosophy to promote impulse buy bargains in its discount stores.
