21 April 2006 – San Francisco (CA): Lenovo Group plans to hold off selling Lenovo-branded PCs to US consumers until it has established itself among US business customers.

Chairman Yang Yuanqing told reporters in San Francisco that the company, which bought IBM’s PC business last year, is focusing on selling its ThinkPad-branded models to large US commercial customers and expanding among small and mid-sized businesses.

Yang added that Lenovo would not start selling computers to US consumers until next year at the earliest.
