Lenovo partnering with major printer maker?

13 October 2006 — Beijing (CHN): Lenovo is rumoured to be joining forces with a major printer maker as it branches out into the Chinese printing market.

A Lyra spokesperson said the webcast promises to provide "exclusive insight and coverage on Lenovo’s vision for a Chinese consortium of printer and supplies makers."

 

Larry Jamieson, director of Lyra’s hard copy industry advisory service, said: "Companies such as Canon, Epson, Founder, and HP stand to lose significant market share rapidly if Lenovo’s strategy is realized."
